There is only one horse catching my eye today. TED SPREAD in 2:35 william hill handicap hurdle. Ted Spread was trained by Mark Tompkins on the flat and was a fair horse reaching a high mark of 108. You got to have alot of class about you to reach that mark. He won the Group 3 Chester cup along the way beating horses like Tominator who has gone onto much bigger things.

TED SPREAD changed codes last year and moved to the Paul nicholls yard. In all fairness apart from one win at Taunton, I would say last year was a disappointment given his talent on the flat. Being a 5 year there is definately more improvement in him. TED SPREAD went off 3-1 Fav for the Imperial Cup last year and although down the field he still managed to finish in front of todays favourite ILE DE RE(ted spread on even better terms today).

Next race was the at Cheltenham Festival in Vincent O’Brien county hurdle. Again he was out of sorts that day but he still showed me enough promise and I know he would of finished alot closer if he hadnt hit the hurdle 2 out. That day Ruby Walsh chose our tip over the well regarded Edgardo Sol, who finished 2nd and then went on to win red rum handicap chase at Aintree. This is another big positive of how well thought of TED SPREAD is.

The 11-1 on offer is to good to turn down and with Harry Derham claiming 7lb bringing his weight down to a very light 10 stone 4lb.

TED SPREAD is without doubt the best bet of Saturday Afternoon.

Good Luck
