DEATH DUTY 10/1 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W (5 places Sky Bet and William Hill)
I think stepping up to 3m 4f is going to bring out the very best in DEATH DUTY as over the shorter trip of 3 miles, he often finds things a little fast but always sees out his races well. He ran a decent enough race last time out in the Thyestes Chase and was well supported at 12/1, coming home 7th. On his penultimate start he was 5th of 28 in the Paddy Power Chase. This time around I feel they will have him absolutely spot on as Jack Kennedy is in the saddle and he would have had the pick of the Gordon Elliott horses. This is a horse who was highly regarded back in the day and a multiple grade winner, and clearly not the same horse these days you have to feel when 100% wound up, as I feel he will be today, his mark of 138 is very winnable off. E/W.
