The week started at Kempton on Monday. Fox appeal stole the show coming back to form and also a nice winning tip from JPW. On the same card Ghizao returned to winning ways and showed a glimpse of why he was once arkle favourite 2 years back.

Moving on to Tuesday and my highlight of the week at Exeter. Cue Card. What a performance absolutely blew the field away and also made better by the advised 20/1 members were told to take for King george on the morning of race. This is the year I really feel Cue Card has grown up and learnt to settle. Just pure class.

Wednesday was a pretty poor day for racing but I must mention Harry Derham for his super ride on Pocket Two. The horse was ridden from 5 out and even headed but Harry never gave in and got the horse home to win by 3 lengths. It was like a typical Mccoy ride. For me with the 7lb Harry Derham claims he is worth following.

Thursday not much happening again. Highlight of the day was over at Thurles in Ireland. Roi Du Mee looked good and could be one to keep an eye out for in hotter races. Value may be able to get at.

Friday was great day for JPW with Samson Collonges winning for us at Hexham. It was our only bet, so a nice little touch. Elsewhere Kie returned form with an impressive 11 length winner. Be good to see if he could hold this form in higher grade as I do believe he best in Autumn so another to keep an eye out for in next race.

Saturday was a great day racing with Zarkandar stealing the spotlight. What great win giving over stone away. This surely puts him right in the mix for champion hurdle and 10/1 is not a bad bet. Elsewhere The Package Won the badger ale at the 3rd time of asking. Was a super cool ride from Timmy Murphy which he deserves a mention for.

Another couple of horse’s who I would like to mention is Overturn and Court in Motion. Overturn actually looks a cracking bet for Arkle. For me a natural over fences and so impressive. Simonsig will have his work cut out. 8/1 I would be happy after that.

Court in Motion was an eyecatcher. Back to the track after 600 days off and for me jumped super bar 2 mistakes. Was right there 2 out but blew up. He will come on a mile for that run and I have seen worse 70/1 shots on betfair for the RSA.

Moving on to Sunday. All I can say is Flemenstar what a horse. Jumped amazing over 2 miles which I believe not his best distance. His trainer said he was only 80% fit which is frightening. What will he do 100%. I feel we could be in for a super clash if Sir des champs chooses the John Durkan as Flemenstar is heading there. Flemenstar could really turn into something special come the end of the season.

Thats me for this week I will be back next week with a look at the weeks action and focusing my thoughts and eyecatchers from Cheltenhams Paddy power meeting.
