TIDAL BAY looks very interesting. Has had his doubters in the past but I just feel no one really understood him. Paul Nicholls believes he has found the answer to him.Judging by his 2 last runs he is certainly doing something right.
In the racing world, alot of people remember the negatives and find it hard to forget his ” bad days ” but if you focus on the good things he has done then there is a lot to like about TIDAL BAY. I believe he has lot of class and has even won the arkle. He has previously run well over hurdles winning the Cleeve hurdle at Cheltenham and also
won the old Whitbread Gold Cup last year very impressive off top weight( proves he can carry the weight in handicaps). There was also everything to like about his first run this season. He is with the master champion trainer and ridden by the best jockey(in my eyes) Ruby Walsh.
Ok he has alot of weight but I suppose you can say he rightfully earned it. The trip, ground, course will be no problem and there is nothing not to like about this old boy. I can see him being ridden at the back and just slowly picking them off when all the other cry enough.
Nicholls had alot of entries in the race and seems to be relying on TIDAL BAY. There was a good amount of money earlier in the week, a bit similar to the midweek money for al ferof in the paddy power. .the hint is there for us all to take and the current 9/1 e/w for first 4 home. You cant go wrong.
