Our Selection is RECESSION PROOF who is slipping under the handicappers nose. He had his first run over hurdles for 2 years in November where he finished way down the field but ran a decent race for a long way before blowing up at the end of the race. On his 2nd start where he was race fit at Ascot, he was travelling like the winner for me before falling 2 out. The bonus for that is he still retains his low handicap mark. What is interesting is his supreme hurdle form at Cheltenham Festival in 2011. He finished a very decent 5th behind some very smart horses in Al Ferof, Spirit Son, Sprinter Sacre and Cue Card and has only had 2 runs since. We all know how good these horses have turned out to be. If RECESSION PROOF can get this type of form back he will go very close. At 28/1 he is huge and massive value. This is an E/W Selection.
