Saturday’s Free Tip is the old boy MIKAEL DU HAGUENET who has caught my eye with the fact Ger Fox will be taking 7lb off. He is a very good jockey and that 7lb claim will be a god sent. You only got to see the ride he gave Roads To Riches today to know the talent he has. At best MIKAEL DU HAGUENET would walk this but he is getting on bit. I think Willie Mullins tryed to hard with him over fences and had he left him over hurdles would of gone further in the game for sure. Although his age looks a negative against these younger sorts, he has not looked at all a 10 year old with some fine performances this season. He didn’t come out of 3rd gear on his latest run which shows he still has the class to carry him through. The fact that Ger Fox claims 7lb he basically runs off 139 and I can tell you this much he is a much better animal than that mark. One thing you will get with MIKAEL DU HAGUENET is a consistent horse who rarely runs a bad race and at 16/1 is overpriced.
