Very interested in GEORGE BOWEN here with the booking of Paul Hanagan. He has now come down the handicap to a mark of 96 which looks very workable. He started the season off well on the All Weather but on turf has been caught in a pocket with his rating being too high. He has run some nice races though in defeat and given he is 4lb below his last winning mark and they mean business judging by jockey booking, 40/1 look a hell of a bet. He ran in this race last year off a mark of 107 so is 11lb lower this year. I think they have planned this route all season and with him now virtually at bottom weight he can get involved. The fast pace is really going to suit, as is the fast ground. Confident he outruns his huge odds. E/W.
