I am happy to take a chance on Librisa Breeze at a big price of 16/1. He won this race in 2017 on very similar ground. He went off the boil after winning this, throughout 2018 but returned at Newbury in August, after 280 days off the track, to finish 2nd to Glorious Journey. I thought it was a very eye-catching run given his time off the track travelling very strongly through the race. Since that run I expect trainer Dean Ivory has trained him with one race in mind. He just loves it around Ascot with 3 wins from 8 starts at the course, plus a couple of places. He literally has everything in his favour in this race and if he can find his old form, he has to be thereabouts. E/W.

ANTONIA DE VEGA 9/1 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W (3 places, 1/5 odds)

All about the ground for this filly and it is the reason we have not seen her since winning at Newbury, back in June. The ground has been too fast all summer. She has only had one start this season in the above described race and she won by an easy 4 lengths over 1m 2f. She looked to be crying out for a step up in trip and the plan was the Irish Oaks but ground came up to quick and she was made a non runner. She is now up to 1m 4f for this race and gets her favoured ground. Ralph Beckett is in flying form also with 6 winners from his last 8 runners. Overpriced as some of these fillies will find it tough in this ground. E/W.
