UNOWHATIMEANHARRY 40/1 with Paddy Power and Betfair – 1 POINT E/W (6 places, 1/5 odds)
My NAP of the day and he is an absolute huge price. I actually can’t believe my NAP is a 13 year old in UNOWHATIMEANHARRY but everything is just staring at me for me to go in with a nice looking bet.
His latest start was at Aintree off a mark of 149 when coming home midfield in a Grade 3 Handicap Hurdle. He was way too high up the handicap that day so I am happy to put a line through it. At Cheltenham he was rated 151, again way too high up the handicap in a race like the Pertemps Hurdle.
Earlier in the season UNOWHATIMEANHARRY was a winner at Aintree on good to soft ground and absolutely cruised through to win cosily. It was also off a handicap mark of 148 and showed me he still had some of his old spark.
He lines up for this race rated a tiny 140 and has Simon Torrens claiming 3lb off his back so lines up basically off a handicap mark of 137.
This is a weak handicap and I believe he can easily win off this handicap mark.
UNOWHATIMEANHARRY is a horse who has won Grade 1s in the past and although he is not the horse he once was, he does have a 100% strike rate around Punchestown, when winning the Grade 1 Stayers Hurdle in 2017 and 2019. He loves it around here and I think he has been nicely placed in this race, to hopefully go out with a win and then be retired.
The value on offer in this bet is massive, given his low handicap, his previous form, his 100% strike rate and how weak the race is.
It is just very fitting that he wins this race in my opinion and gives us a huge price winner. E/W.
