No joy yesterday unfortunately and so far it has not been out festival. Two days to pick things up and we are do a bit of luck.

Today we have tips in 4 races and we are giving away 2 for free.

*PRICES CORRECT AT THE TIME OF SENDING LAST NIGHT*

1:50 Goodwood

THE GRAND VISIR 9/1 generally – 0.75 POINTS E/W (7 places Sky Bet, 6 places Betfair and Paddy Power)

CALLING THE WIND 10/1 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W 7 places Sky Bet, 6 places Betfair and Paddy Power)

We have 2 selections in this race.

With the rain coming overnight it is important to find horses who will cope with the ground and will stay stay stay. Two horses who we know will do that are THE GRAND VISIR and CALLING THE WIND as the pair came home 2nd and 3rd to Stratum, in the Queen Alexander Stakes.

THE GRAND VISIR is just a very consistent horse on the flat and never runs a bad race. You know when he carries your money, he is going to run a decent race and given his level of consistency, he really deserves to win a race like this. He has had 4 starts this season with his form reading 2332. His season got underway with a 2nd in the Chester Cup. He was then 3rd in a group 2 over in France, 3rd in the Queen Alexander at Royal Ascot and then 2nd to Red Verdon in a Listed race at Sandown.

He was 4th in this race last season off the same handicap mark, although carries 1lb less this time around, with the difference being this time is the softer ground.

This is a horse who would stay 3 miles on the flat and you just know he is going to keep trying all the way to the line. Whether he is vulnerable to something down the bottom of the weights, we will have to find out but this is a horse with a huge heart and with lots of places on offer, he should make the frame. E/W.

CALLING THE WIND is a proper soft ground horse so the more the rain the better for this horse. He comes into the race on the back of an excellent 2nd in the Queen Alexander Stakes at Royal Ascot. He travelled supremely well and came there on the bridle 2 furlongs out. He got collared late on but it was a top effort especially given it stakes race off level weights and he was beaten 3 lengths, to a horse rated 112. He has only been raised 3lb for that 2nd and I still think he could be really well in. Overpriced and has not been given the credit he deserves for his last effort. E/W.

Good Luck
