Today we have 2 free tips at Leopardstown chosen at random from our 6 tips sent to paying customers.

Before moving on our Cheltenham Festival Special is underway and our first Ante Post selection was sent out on last Monday. The horse is actually running tomorrow and WHEN he wins, I am sure his price will plummet for a particular race at Cheltenham.

Monday will be the 2nd Ante Post selection being sent out and that will continue every Monday up to the festival, as well as many more handicap bets the week before the festival. It will also include all our tips over the 4 days of the Cheltenham Festival.

Since JPW started this is our 14th Cheltenham Festival and we are all out to make it 14 from 14 in profit. When it comes to the Cheltenham Festival we have a 100% record.

1:35 Leopardstown

VAUBAN 2/1 generally – 1.5 POINTS WIN

This race looks like a match up between Fil Dor and VAUBAN and I am siding with the latter as I feel he has more improvement to come than Fil Dor. I respect Fil Dor but I am not sure he can improve any further. He is obviously at a high level already after winning a Grade 1 but I do think he has to improve again to beat a horse like VAUBAN. He has had one start over hurdles and was just a half length off Pied Piper over the Christmas period and that form looks the best about given what Pied Piper did at Cheltenham last weekend. You could argue that VAUBAN may have beaten Pied Piper last time out if he had jumped the last hurdle a bit better but even so he stayed on so strongly after the last hurdle. I think VAUBAN has so much more to come and can improve past Fil Dor. WIN.

2:10 Leopardstown

RIVIERE D’ETEL 2/1 generally – 1.5 POINTS WIN

Blue Lord is the one to beat here but he is going to have his work cut out against a horse like RIVIERE D’ETEL who gets a huge 9lb pull at the weights for mares and age allowance. RIVIERE D’ETEL will also carry 7lb less than any other horse so before the race has started, we have a big advantage. She has been magic since she was sent chasing in October and has rattled up 3 wins which included Grade 2 and Grade 3 races and last time out she was an excellent 2nd to Ferny Hollow. She made him work for the win and got within 1 1/2 lengths of him. I think she is a top class mare and with the weight advantage, Blue Lord is going to have to be pretty special to beat her. WIN.
