SUPER SUPERJACK 9/4 generally – 2 POINT WIN
SUPER SUPERJACK went into my notebook last week at Glorious Goodwood as a potential winner next time out. The Milton Harris trained horse was 2nd to Master Milliner at Goodwood last week but I do think it was a winner that got away. He was travelling smoothly throughout but the gaps didn’t come soon enough but had they opened up earlier, I am confident he would have won well. He is now up to a mark of 86 but given they are keen to run him again just 1 week later, connections must feel he is ready to win with. Milton Harris is as shrewd as they come and you can trust his judgement in running him so soon. He gets right at the bottom of the handicap and Nicola Currie takes the ride. WIN.
3:55 Ascot
MONTASSIB 2/1 generally – 2 POINT WIN (NAP)
A horse we have been following this season and MONTASSIB goes down as my NAP of the day now he is finally running over 1 mile. He was an excellent 4th of 18 to Bless Him, in the Bunbury Cup last time out and prior to that he was 5th of 29 to Inver Park in the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot. He is a 4 year old who has only had 5 career starts and we have definitely not seen the best of him. He will progress further and I am confident his mark of 97 is nowhere near the ceiling of his ability. I think he will turn out to be a 105+ horse with more runs under his belt and this race is probably the weakest race he has contested in his last 2 starts. 9/4 is a great bet as I make him a 6/4 favourite. Decent ground is the key to him and he will get that here. WIN.
