TOO FRIENDLY 11/2 generally – 0.75 POINTS E/W (4 places, 1/5 odds)
TOO FRIENDLY deserves to get his head in front after a consistent season so far. He has not won yet but from 6 starts he has three 2nds to his name. His last 3 runs have been over 2m 4f – 2m 5f which have just stretched his stamina. A drop back to 2 miles will surely help and the fact they are putting first time blinkers on, tells me Dan Skelton is trying everything to get a win on the board. He is rated 124 by the handicapper which is about right, but given he has been going close in races, off similar marks, if things fall in place, he has the ability to win off this mark. E/W.

RISK BELLE 5/1 with Paddy Power and Betfair – 0.75 POINTS E/W (5 places, 1/5 odds)
RISK BELLE is another notebook horse with her last run coming at the Cheltenham Festival, in the Boodles Handicap Hurdle. She came home 3rd to another of today’s runners in Matty Jazzy but was only beaten a neck. The Willie Mullins trained horse is also 5lb better off at the weights so I would be surprised with the weight advantage, if she couldn’t turn that form around. Mark Walsh is in the saddle and takes over from Luke Dempsey which is obviously a bonus. Nothing wrong with Luke Dempsey but Mark Walsh is obviously a better jockey.
The only negative thing I have in my mind is how hard a race she had at Cheltenham and whether she will be feeling the effects. Even with that I am still more than happy to bet her as I think RISK BELLE has a lot more to come and is dangerously lurking on a mark of 127. E/W.
