MATRIKA 8/1 generally – 0.75 POINTS E/W (4 places, 1/5)
Quite simple really, Ryan Moore has been riding out of his skin all week. He has his horses in all the right positions and is a complete professional. I need a man who we can trust to get us back to where we want to be and where we belong.
MATRIKA was a winner on debut at Curragh last month and I thought she won with a bit in hand. She went through the line with loads in hand and it looked like an easy straightforward ride.
She is also very well bred and is related to The Wow Signal who was a winner at Royal Ascot when winning the 2014 Coventry. She is also a full sister to Unicorn Lion, a horse who has won over £1 million in Japan. There is also a relation to a horse called Miss Infinity, another decent horse out of MATRIKA dam, Muravka.
Even though this horse is on a massive upgrade, the breeding fills me with confidence. E/W.

TEUMESSIAS FOX 5/1 generally – 1 POINT E/W (5 places, 1/5 odds)
Oisin Murphy at the time of writing, is yet to have a winner at Royal Ascot but has gone close with three 2nds and a 3rd. I think he has a right chance on TEUMESSIAS FOX who was an easy winner last time out at Newmarket and although he is up to a mark of 104, I think he is a group horse running in a handicap. He has a nice draw in 6 given he likes to be prominent and he will be able to get a nice position from the off. Since being gelded over the winter, he is 2 from 2 this season and it has clearly improved the horse no end. Andrew Balding mentioned when he won 7 weeks ago, he likes his races spaced out, hence the 7 weeks since he was last seen. They have clearly learned a lot about the horse and with that knowledge, I expect him to keep progressing. E/W.tt
Good Luck
