THUNDER BLUE 16/1 generally – 0.75 POINTS E/W (3 places, 1/5 odds)
My best bet of the day is THUNDER BLUE simply because he should be half the price, if not shorter. He finished 5th of 14 in the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot and if he did not go a bit right in the final furlong, where his run was checked, he would have been much closer. Even so he stayed on all the way to the line and although behind another of today’s runners Malc, if THUNDER BLUE can take another step forward, I think he has the ability to turn that form around. He should not be 4 times the price of Malc, put it that way. He was an impressive winner 2 starts back and then ran a decent enough race at the top level last time out. Kevin Stott takes the ride and with 3 places on offer, I can see him making the frame at the very least. E/W.

QUINAULT 7/1 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W (4 places, 1/5 odds)
QUINAULT the horse that netted us a big win on the Scoop 6 Bonus a few weeks ago and also a big win for members. I said it then, he is a progressive horse from a lovely family who do very well with Oasis Dream bred horses. He is now up to a handicap mark of 90 but I can still see him progressing further. He has a lovely attitude and showed a few weeks ago, he can knuckle and stick his head out. Conor Planas takes the ride once again and he was magic in the saddle when they won at York together. The headgear remains on and I expect QUINAULT to go from the front and play catch me if you can, straight down the middle of the course. E/W.
