VIA SISTINA 7/4 generally – 2 POINT WIN
The rain is coming tomorrow and VIA SISTINA will absolutely love it. She goes down as my bet of the July Festival and I see nothing but a win. She was an easy winner last time out at the Curragh and she was also an easy winner on her first start of the season. She is a proper horse who is being trained for the Arc. If she is to have any chance in the Arc, she has to win this and I believe she will with ease. She is down in trip to 1m for this race but given how she travels so well through her races, I don’t see that being a problem. WIN.

MAXI BOY 14/1 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W (4 places, 1/5 odds)
We have to go all the way back to 2019 when trainer Michael Bell described MAXI BOY as a group class horse. He went on to run in three group races in 2019 as a 2 year old, and ran well in the process. As a 3 year old he lined up in handicaps rated as high as 96 and although he didn’t win, he ran some nice races. As a 4 year old he again lined up in handicaps and ran some nice races without winning. He went to America in September 2021 and nearly pulled off a nice win in March 2022 before coming back to the UK and back in training with Michael Bell for this season. He has only had 1 run since March 2022 and that was last week at Leicester where he came home 4th of 8, only beaten a couple of lengths. He will come on for that run now the cobwebs have been blown off and lining up on a handicap mark of 86, MAXI BOY can go close here. He offers very good value at the prices and with 4 places on offer he is a nice bet. E/W.
