HURRICANE IVOR 16/1 Paddy Power and Betfair – 0.5 POINTS E/W (5 places, 1/5 odds)
His last run to one side in the Wokingham Handicap at Royal Ascot, HURRICANE IVOR has to be bang there on this year’s form. He was a winner at this course back in April off a mark of 96 and although he runs off 99 today, it has come down from an Irish mark of 101. He also showed a liking to the course on his penultimate start when 3rd of 15 in a handicap, back in May. Even going back further in his career he was a group 3 winner and also a winner of the Portland handicap. Shane Foley takes the ride and I can’t have him out of the frame. E/W.

BOBSLEIGH 11/2 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W (4 places, 1/5 odds)
Relief Rally is the one they all have to beat after finishing 2nd at Royal Ascot in the Queen Mary Stakes. Although I think she will be hard to beat I think you could argue that BOBSLEIGH ran in a hotter race at Royal Ascot, coming home 6th in the Coventry Stakes behind River Tiber. Back in 3rd that day was Bucanero Fuerte who has since gone on to win a group 2 and the form of that race looks very solid. BOBSLEIGH does drop back down to 5f but has shown lots of speed in his races to suggest it won’t be a problem. If anything the fact he stays a bit further will help as they will no doubt go at a fair clip with 21 runners. He should travel through the race nicely and should pick up like a good horse when asked to go and win his race. He is second highest rated in the race by some way and he should make the frame at the very least. E/W.
