TRITONIC 10/1 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W (5 places, 1/5 odds)
 
The weather is dry tomorrow which will help TRITONIC before the rain returns on Saturday morning. TRITONIC has clearly been targeted at this race since his excellent 3rd at Royal Ascot in the Ascot Stakes, behind Ahorsewithnoname. Back in 2nd that day was Calling The Wind who has since given the form a boost by winning the Northumberland Plate. TRITONIC finished just 3/4 length behind Calling The Wind at Royal Ascot, giving him 4lb in weight. Today Calling The Wind has to give TRITONIC 2lb in weight, meaning our selection has a 6lb pull at the weights for a 3/4 of a length beating. I can see plenty of value in TRITONIC who likes it around Goodwood as on his only visit to the course he was a winner. Rossa Ryan is back in the saddle and he got a good tune out of the horse at Royal Ascot and for me TRITONIC is overpriced. E/W.
