Just one weekend left on the flat as we gear up for the National Hunt Season. It has been a decent flat season with some epic days and stories, as there always is with JPW.
Not long until we are at my speciality. If you think the Flat Season tips are good, wait until the National Hunt Season comes, where we go into the season looking to make it 16 from 16 years in profit.

3:00 Ascot
HAPPY ROMANCE 12/1 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W
This is a horse who owes us and because I have followed her pretty much all her career, I know every little bit of detail that she needs to perform at her best. The main thing HAPPY ROMANCE needs is fast ground and as we have mentioned above, the ground is going to dry out tomorrow with the lovely weather which is forecast. This is only going to increase her chances of winning and make her 12/1 look like big value as I have her in at 15/2. You can put a line through her last run at Longchamp as the ground was against her and she is not a proper group 1 horse. Her penultimate start was in a handicap but that was on soft ground , again totally against her, despite her finishing 4th of 22. As long as she has the right conditions I really think she is up to winning a race of this sort and a strong will do very nicely. E/W.
3:35 Ascot
QUINAULT 15/2 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W (5 places, 1/5 odds)
BLESS HIM 16/1 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W (5 places, 1/5 odds)
We have 2 selections in this race and both horses once again are very familiar to us.
We will start off with the wonder horse QUINAULT who has done us no wrong this season. He won us £155k on the Scoop 6 Bonus as well giving us 3 wins this season on the tipping service. He literally owes us nothing but at this stage I am not ready to look past him. All he has done all season is improve and is now rated 102. What I love about this horse is he has one way of running, from the front and when you come face to face with him, he keeps finding. Can he keep improving one again? I certainly wouldn’t put it past him as he is as game as they come and will keep fighting all the way to the line. Come on QUINAULT give us a 4th win of the season. E/W.
BLESS HIM is a bit of a cliff horse but the last time we followed him over a cliff he rewarded us with a 28/1 winner. A bit like Happy Romance, I know every little detail about the horse and with a horse like QUINAULT in the race who is going to go fast and hard from the front, this race can set up perfectly for a horse like BLESS HIM, who travels so sweet at the back of the field and often finishes like a train. The ground is so so important to him, the faster the better and with the weather drying the ground out tomorrow, everything is falling into his lap. You only got to look through his form this season with a host of non runners against him name when the going has had soft in the description. In fact all season BLESS HIM has not run on good to firm which I predict by race time tomorrow. He also loves it around Ascot especially in these big field handicaps and with Hayley Turner on board who rides exceptionally well at Ascot in these big field handicaps, he has a huge chance at a decent price.
