We have made hundreds if not thousands of points profit over the last 15 years and I am all out to break our record of 163 points profit for the season, which was set in 2016. We have had many 100+ point seasons but this year you mark my words, it is going to be special.

1:15 Haydock
PARK HILL DANCER 7/2 generally – 1 POINT WIN
As we said last week at Cheltenham, Nicky Henderson is flying along at the moment and is 8 winners from his last 15 runners. PARK HILL DANCER surely goes close here off a mark of 123. He is a fast improving sort who is lightly raced. He was a little unrelaxed last year but still managed to win his final two starts of the season. A summer on his back and now a much more mature horse, he should be able to sail past his mark of 123 in my opinion. This is not the greatest looking race and PARK HILL DANCER gets in right near the bottom of the handicap, with 10st 12lb on his back. I am quietly confident PARK HILL DANCER will be involved in the finish and hopefully gets the day off to a flyer. WIN.
2:20 Haydock
HOWLINGMADMURDOCK 25/1 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W (5 places, 1/5 odds)
Although you have to respect Crambo and Slate Lane who head the market, this race has been a graveyard for favourites over the last 10 years, as not one favourite has won the race. It shows you just how gruelling the race is and you need a strong stayer. The front two in the market will be hard to beat, no doubt about it but this is the sort of race I like to look for a nice price.
HOWLINGMADMURDOCK it the type of horse I can see going well in the race and has probably gone under the radar as he is not trained by Paul Nicholls, Nicky Henderson, Dan Skelton and so on. He is trained by Tom Lacey who is a shrewd trainer in my opinion and is having a cracking season. He is currently 5 winners from the last 11 runners and I am quietly confident, HOWLINGMADMURDOCK has been aimed at this race.
He comes here on the back of two wins from 4 starts last season and they clearly hold him in high regard as they ran him in the Grade 1 Sefton Novices Hurdle at Aintree on his last start, a race won by Apple Away with Maximillian back in 2nd, Iroko 3rd and Stay Away Fay 4th. It was clearly a very hot race and HOWLINGMADMURDOCK came home 5th of the 15, holding his own at the top level.
Now dropping back to handicap company and looking like a horse who is a proper stayer, with 5 places on offer he looks a big value bet.
He goes well fresh as he has won on both starts first time up, plus he has only had 5 career runs, telling me he could have plenty of improvement to come. E/W.
Good Luck
