We have made hundreds if not thousands of points profit over the last 15 years and I am all out to break our record of 163 points profit for the season, which was set in 2016. We have had many 100+ point seasons but this year you mark my words, it is going to be special.

PETIT TONNERRE 10/1 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W (2 places,1/4 odds)
All eyes on JPR One here who was an unlucky loser at Cheltenham last month. He had the race in the bag but was a faller at the last fence. It was an impressive performance, no doubt about it but of the horses behind him, my eyes were drawn to PETIT TONNERRE, who was having his first start over fences.  He was given a very much learning ride by Jonjo O’Neill Jnr and the instructions given to him by his father and trainer were clearly to get him around safely and let him progress. I think PETIT TONNERRE travelled well, jumped well and although he got beat into 2nd (3rd if JPR One didn’t fall), you have to expect him to have learned a lot and to progress significantly here.
Over hurdles PETIT TONNERRE is the second highest rated in the race and although chasing is a different game, he is built like a chaser, he is young at the age of 5 and I very much feel the best is still to come from this horse over fences.
I think his price of 10/1 is an insult and although JPR One will be hard to beat, as far as value goes this is a great bet.

THE BIG BREAKAWAY 15/2 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W (5 places, 1/5 odds)
I have always felt THE BIG BREAKAWAY was a horse who would love the National fences. He is big and bold over his fences and an absolute huge frame of a horse. He did run in the Grand National but did fall at the 2nd fence. Perhaps he was an unlucky faller or it was just bad luck as he is not a bad jumper whatsoever. This smaller field and I am expecting to see a much more bold show. THE BIG BREAKAWAY was 2nd in the Welsh National last year and with just 19 days until that race this year, I feel this may be his target this time around. Although 2nd last year in the Welsh National, he was carrying lots of weight and I am sure this year would be the same, given his rating. In this race we have Coko Beach who is rated 162 and it means THE BIG BREAKAWAY carries 10st 13lb which is absolutely perfect. THE BIG BREAKWAY also stays forever so this 3m 2f is perfect along with his beloved soft ground. He ticks a lot of boxes and although anything can happen over the National Fences, he is a horse who has to go well. He has had one run this season when 5th in the Badger Beer Chase at Wincanton so should come on loads for that run. We also have Harry Cobden in the saddle and that is a huge bonus.
