GREY DAWNING 7/4 William Hill, 2/1 Bet 365 – 1.5 POINTS WIN
GREY DAWNING looked very good when winning at Haydock last month, beating last year’s National Hunt Chase winner, Galliard Du Mensil. He jumped very well and took the race to the field after the first circuit. He also ran well on debut at Exeter when 3rd to the talented Stay Away Fay who franked the form on the weekend when winning at Sandown. GREY DAWNING should continue to progress and it will take a good one to beat him. Dan Skelton is flying along after a slow start and GREY DAWNING is one of his best novice chasers this season. The soft ground is exactly what GREY DAWNING wants and like Dysart Enos, with a clear round it looks very hard to see what beats him. WIN.

DODDIETHEGREAT 7/2 gnerally – 1.25 POINTS WIN
Our 3rd favourite of the day, not the usual way I operate but I just can’t get them beat so we will side with DODDIETHEGREAT who looks a very talented horse. I love Nicky Henderson with these types of horses, especially over the minimum trip. DODDIETHEGREAT returned from 746 days off the track at Ascot with a win and he basically won as he liked. He was a bit novicey but that is to be expected after so long off the track. He can only improve on that run and they must hold him in high regard as they are already targeting the Scottish Champion Hurdle with the horse, which is in April. I can’t see many with as natural talent as this one and if he is not good enough to win this, then he won’t be good enough to win the Scottish Champion Hurdle. I am quietly confident as I am with the first two selections. What a day we are having if this is our 3rd winner of the day and it could so easily be in my opinion. WIN.
