So the Chester Festival is here, a decent little festival which runs for 3 days.

DILIGENTLY 17/2 William Hill, 8/1 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W (4 places, 1/5 odds)
I can tell you straight away what we are getting involved in here with DILIGENTLY drawn in stall 1. Miss the stalls and his chance has gone on the inside but if he hits the break, he goes 7/2 straight away in running. I have gone through all his races to see how he gets out of the gates and he never misses the break. I am hopeful he can get out and grab the rail as although running over 6f here, he showed plenty of speed last year over 5f. 
He is rated 86 after winning on his final start at the York Ebor Festival and immediately after the race Clive Cox said  ‘He’s got a bit of scope to go on for next year as well.”. 
That was my first impression of the horse so reading those comments from the trainer confirmed exactly what I thought.
He was a class 2 winner last year yet is down in grade here for this race.  
It does not look the strongest race and if he breaks well, he could make a mockery of his price. E/W.
