ROYAL ASCOT DAY 3 2026

Free Horse Racing TIps

You are here: Home / Free Horse Racing TIps / Free Tips – Royal Ascot Day 3 (2026)

We were left with a late non runner on the free tips yesterday and to add insult, Linwood beat Rogue Diplomat (the winner), the last time they met convincingly.

We did make a profit on the full time service adding a winner but Linwood was a horse I had lined up for the race for a while, I guess we will never know.

We go again on the free tips today.

Don’t forget by signing up to the Flat Season for £40.00, you get access to all our tips until 9th October.

3:05 at Ascot.
TIERRA DEL TORO 7/1 generally – 0.75 POINTS E/W (5 places, 1/5 odds)
GENCHEV 40/1 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W (5 places, 1/5 odds)

Two selections in this race.

TIERRA DEL TORO went into my notebook following its 3rd place finish in the London Cup last month. I marked him down as a horse who wants to go up in trip which is exactly what is happening here. Now up to 1m 4f he should improve further. As a horse with only four career starts, he has plenty of improvement left in him. James Doyle takes the ride and he is yet to have a winner, but one is certainly coming. TIERRA DEL TORO is rated 97 and i think he could have a good few pounds of improvement in him. E/W.

GENCHEV is a huge price. Ger Lyons is not taking many horses to Ascot this week and this could be his only runner. He has one entered for Saturday, but it is yet to be confirmed. Colin Keane takes the ride, and when he rides for Ger Lyons, they have a terrific record. The trainer is also in outstanding form: 71% of his runners are running to form and from his last 17 runners, he has had 7 winners, which is as good as it gets.
GENCHEV is rated just 86 and his form looks solid. He won last time out, showed good form behind Endorsement last season and looks tailor-made for 1m 4f. He also likes to get on with things and is quick out of the stalls. Drawn in 1 he has the plum draw to get the rail and save valuable ground. I have seen worse 40/1 shots and I think he will outrun his huge odds. E/W.

4:15 Ascot
RAHIEBB 5/1 William Hill, 9/2 generally – 1 POINT WIN
It is tough taking on Trawlerman who served us well last year in this race but he has developed an eye condition that dislikes sunlight. He will wear goggles in the parade ring but they have to come off for the race. That is not ideal and I simply can’t ignore it. Can the horse see with them off? The sun is shining brightly, so surely that will affect him?
RAHIEBB is a horse who is just improving all the time. We backed him in the Yorkshire Cup where he finished strongly and stayed on well over the 2 mile trip. The same last season when 2nd to Scandanavia in the St Leger. He was closing on him all the way to the line and over an extra few furlongs, he would have caught Scandanavia who is today’s favourite. Based on that showing in the St Leger last year, I would say the trip will suit our horse better, although I agree, both horses will relish it. RAHIEBB only started his career as a four-year-old, so he is still improving with every run. He is a big, strong horse, the type you want for an extreme test. He also has some speed, so if he is close enough turning in, he can use that speed to hopefully pass them. WIN.

Good Luck
