1:30 Ballymore Novices Hurdle
BEAKSTOWN 14/1 generally – 0.5 PTS E/W (5 places at WH, 4 Places elsewhere, 1/5 odds)
BEAKSTOWN seem to be the forgotten horse in this race. He was mighty impressive when winning at Warwick on his last start. He is a big horse who is built like a chaser and I was originally surprised he went for this race rather than the Albert Bartlett Novice. Looking back I now think they have made the right choice given the ground and the fact this may turn out to be like a 3 mile race. He has this big presence and is going to be some chaser next season. They paid a lot of money for the horse at around £400k and he can start repaying them by winning this. His style of running will be suited to Cheltenham and he has a round Knee action which will be useful in the soft ground. Overpriced and Dan Skelton has a great chance of getting a winner. E/W.
