Another place yesterday with The Grand Visir coming home 4th for E/W money.
We came away with a nice 8/1 winner on our full festival special yesterday and we are looking to follow in the footsteps of Royal Ascot, where we waited until the last race of the 2nd day, to find a winner, then went and smashed the remaining 3 days.
Don’t forget that Glorious Goodwood runs for another 3 days which you can access for £7.99.

We have made good profits in 7 of of the last 8 festivals and we have made a name for ourselves when it comes to festivals.

CELTIC ART 14/1 with Paddy Power and Betfair – 0.5 POINTS E/W (4 places, 1/5 odds)
MAGICAL MORNING 8/1 generally – 0.5 POINTS E/W (4 places, 1/5 odds)
We have 2 selections in this race.
CELTIC ART looks a big price at 14/1. This is his first start of thes season but I take it he has been fit and ready for a while as he is entered in the Group 1 French Derby. Obviously with an entry like that he is obviously held in very high regard and it is something you have to take note of. This is just a handicap yet trainer Paul Cole clearly thinks he is group 1 or at least group 2 class minimum. He is rated 101 by the handicapper and he will carry top weight which is never ideal, but could be much better than most of these, who look class 3 level at best. His form last season as a 2 year old was excellent, particularly at this course where he finished 2nd twice, one included a 2nd to Molatham who is now rated 112. He is by Mastercraftsman so will appreciate the step up in trip and I expect him to be a much better 3 year old that 2 year old, given the comments by trainer last season, were ‘a big baby’ who will improve. Overpriced and possibly overlooked, especially the entry in the French Derby. E/W.
MAGICAL MORNING is another who I believe is better than group company and partnered by the best in the business with Frankie Dettori. He is a horse who is still improving and is only going to get better. He has had 3 starts this season, with two wins to his name. He ran a good race last time out and like today’s winner, Toro Strike, take the winner out of the race (Al Suhail) who won by 6 lengths and is clearly group 1 class, he is 4th beaten 2 lengths, in a Class 1. He is up in trip here and John Gosden get’s plenty of improvement out of horses who are stepped up in trip. Overpriced and could make a few of these handicappers look silly. E/W.
