3:35 Cheltenham
GRAND MOGUL 11/4 generally – 1.5 POINTS WIN
My NAP of the day is GRAND MOGUL as I was very taken with his performance at Chepstow. He jumped well and travelled very smoothly. Everything has just seemed to click for him this season and given he is by Presenting, he should love this decent ground. He was a 7 length winner and beat a horse who I think will turn out to be decent in Only The Bold. GRAND MOGUL always threatened to be good when a winner in Ireland when trained by Gordon Elliott. His first season for Nicky Henderson didn;t exactly go to plan but he has turned a massive corner over the summer and just looks a big imposing horse, who could be quite smart. I think he should be fighting for favouritism so can see plenty of value in the 11/4 available. WIN.
4:05 Cheltenham
THE BEES KNEES 7/2 generally – 1 POINT WIN
You couldn’t be more impressed with THE BEES KNEES on his last start, winning by 15 lengths at Musselburgh 2 weeks ago. He is an improving horse who has won his last two races and I think he still has plenty left in the locker. He is trained by Fergal O’Brien who just loves a winner and Cheltenham and I am sure he will have him tuned to the minute. Max Kendrick takes the ride and I am sure he will be doing everything to get this horse home for a family win, with the owner being Caroline Kendrick. I also think Cheltenham wil be toTHE BEES KNEES liking given his style of racing. He is actually 8lb well in and only carries a 7lb penalty for his win at Musselburgh. He is going to be a hard one to beat and quite frankly, I would be surprised if he could not go close. WIN.
