REGAL ENCORE 12/1 Paddy Power and Betfair – 0.5 POINTS E/W (4 places, 1/5 odds)
CAPTAIN CHAOS 9/1 Paddy Power and Betfair – 0.5 POINTS E/W (4 places, 1/5 odds)
I am expecting CAPTAIN CHAOS to take these along at a nice pace and if his jumping holds up, he could build up a nice gap. We were on him last time out at Warwick when he didn’t quite get home over 3m 5f. It was the same race that he finished 2nd to Kimberlite Candy last season and on his next start, he went and won a chase at Doncaster by a massive 54 lengths. This drop down in trip to 3 miles will be appreciated and the drop down in the handicap to 135, puts him right in the mix. The form of Dan Skelton is also top class at the moment and with his brother carrying just 10st 9lb right at the bottom of the handicap, he has to be thereabouts. He stays that bit further so he should run all the way through to the line. E/W.
The fast pace should really suit course specialist REGAL ENCORE. This is a horse who is just so consistent around Ascot and has won around here 4 times. His form at the course since February 2018 read – 1321313. He was a winner here back in October when winning a Grade 3 in a similar race to todays. His last start was again back here in December when 3rd to Mister Malarky, running an excellent race just going down by 3 lengths.

MASTER TOMMYTUCKER 3/1 generally – 1 POINT WIN
An interesting race and a race which I think Cyrname and Dashel Drasher will fight it out for the lead. I think they could end up cutting each other’s throats up front and Dashel Drasher could easily make Cyrname make mistakes. I think MASTER TOMMYTUCKER will sit just off them and will be able to get a nice toe into the race. He is a horse who is a very good jumper, although he can switch off for a split second and make a mistake. Even so at the price I am happy to side with him.
MASTER TOMMYTUCKER has run 5 times this season and won 3 of those with his best run coming last time out at Kempton.
I also believe that he is a better horse going right handed. He has gone right handed 7 times and won 5 races. The only time he has lost going right-handed was when he fell twice last season. He is actually unbeaten going right handed when staying on his feet.
I am expecting a big run and can give his stablemate something to think about.
Good Luck
