You guessed it, another weekend behind us and more profit added to our Weekend Special and National Hunt Package.
This weekend we came away with 1 winner courtesy of Frodon and 2 each ways bets with Glen Forsa (28/1) and Regal Encore (14/1). It was only 2 points profit this weekend but it finishes off an awesome October on the Weekend Special, with 29 points profit.
Our National Hunt Season is also off to a flyer and we are 12 points in profit since 8th October and the National Hunt Season really gets going in November with Cheltenham November meeting, Betfair Chase Day at Haydock and the Ladbrokes Trophy Festival from Newbury.
Below is a review of our weekend along with a horse to follow.
Our Selections
We had 7 selections over the weekend, coming away with 1 winner and 2 each way bets.
On Saturday our sole winner was Frodon over in Ireland. He was his usual self who just jumped for fun and was so game from the front. He really is a joy to watch and keeps on delivering, year in year out. Our 2 each way bets were both a huge prices in Glen Forsa and Regal Encore at 28/1 and 14/1. Glen Forsa is actually a handicapper to follow in my National Hunt Horses To Follow book, while Regal Encore record at Ascot, is just incredible. A few points profit made in that race.
It was so nearly a magical Saturday as Solo was just touched off at 8/1 by a nose.
On Sunday we were on Ahoy Senor who was still in contention when unseating the rider, 2 fences out. I personally think he would have been involved in the finish given he stays 3 miles and just keeps on galloping. We will never know but he is one to keep an eye on next time out.
We now move into November and are closing in on the 200 points profit over 2020 and 2021.

HORSE TO FOLLOW
Without being too harsh on Lorcan Williams as I do think he is a decent enough jockey, I think Jamie Moore got him beat in the finish. Jamie Moore was riding Nassalem while Lorcan Williams was on board SOLO. Had Harry Cobden been on SOLO I think he would have won the race, without a shadow of doubt. He jumped very well as I expected and given this was SOLO debut over fences, he should keep on progressing. I am keen to see where he goes next and what sort of handicap mark he will be on. He has grown again over the summer and should turn out to be a smart enough chaser.
