2022 royal ascot day 2
Free Horse Racing TIpsYou are here: Home / Free Horse Racing TIps /
It wasn’t to be on the Free Tips yesterday. We sent out 2 horses at 50/1 and 33/1 so it was never going to be easy. Arecibo got no cover whatsoever and was isolated with all horses coming to the stands side. While Berkshire Shadow out run his huge odds and was not far away in 5th place.
Wee go again today and once again although we have shorter priced tips who on paper have more of a chance, we will send out some big priced tips instead. If we can nail just one big priced horse on the tips this week, it will all be worth it. Let’s hope a certain jockey called Harry Davies is in good form today with his 5lb claim.
Don’t forget you can still unlock all our tips by signing up to the remainder of Royal Ascot or the Remainder of the Flat Season.
ROYAL ASCOT DAY 2 FREE TIPS
We have 2 selections in this race.
I am all over SYMBOLIZE here with Harry Davies in the saddle claiming 5lb. That brings his mark down to 99 and that is well within reach. He is drawn in 29 so we don’t know about any draw bias yet but I would rather but that is the chance we have to take here. I expect him to be gambled on which is why I want to take the 16/1 now. I think the 5lb claim is worth the weight in gold as Harry Davies is a serious jockey.
SYMBOLIZE has been to the last 3 Royal Ascots and placed in all 3 of them. Early on in his career trainer Andrew Balding said he wanted fast ground and most of the time in the big races, he didn’t get it. Finally at a Royal Ascot he gets his ground and hopefully the draw is on the right side. He has had one start this season when 2nd and he is sure to come on for that run.
I am quietly confident he can at least place here as Ascot really is a course he comes alive at. Take Aldaary out of the equation last season, a horse who was way ahead of the handicapper, SYMBOLIZE would have won 2 races at the course. He is overpriced and the fact the trainer is keen to use a claimer this time around, tells me they are trying their balls off. E/W.
My old friend BLESS HIM who owes me a lot if truth be told but I am going to stick with him as for the first time in years, he gets the ultra fast ground required. I have tried in the past where the ground may dry up for him but never have I gone into a race where the ground is very fast and only going to dry out further. I can’t stress how much he is going to bounce off this ground and let us not forget, he did win the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot in 2017, when the ground was lightning quick. Since then he has predominantly been running in group races or in handicaps but has been too high. He is now on a mark of 101 which could look lenient when he gets his ground.
BLESS HIM wants loads of pace which he will undoubtedly get here and I expect Jamie Spencer to travel like a dream and try and unleash very very late. E/W.
